destiny. Win and there in.
They could conceivably win only one more game and make it at 9 and 7.
But everyone else in the NFC would have to fall in the crapper.

Winning fixes everything.

Last year they beat GB at home 7 to 3 and lost IN GB 26-28. The Lions
match up well with them.

Thats the last game of the year and GB will have zero incentive to play all their starters. After beating the Chefs on Sunday, GB will have home-field locked up. Nothing left to play for other than momentum. 16-0 is meaningless. Its all about winning three playoff games. Remember what happened to the last team that did that. The Lions may very well win that game, but it will be against half of the starters and the other half of the second tier. But Flynn is better than most starting QBs in the league...

We can also wait for Sue to do something stupid again in memory of the last game.

Are you trying to say a W is not a W?
Right now the Lions are missing 3 of their 4 starting DB's, BOTH of there running backs, Smith and Best.
Suh WILL be back, but don't expect anymore silliness from him.
Personally I could care less WHO GB fields. A win is a win is a win in the NFL.
Do you think GB cared who the QB of the Lions was over the last decade? Heck no they didn't, they took the win any way they could get it.
NO Style points in the NFL my friend.

Tell that to the Dolphins who were sweating it out when the Patriots almost went undefeated...

16-0 is a meaningless stat unless you win the last game of the season...ie the Superbowl. NE's 16-0 season didn't mean anything because they didn't end up being NFL champions that year. No ring, so who cares. Last season GB got the ring, but were also far from 16-0 in the regular season. So who cares what the regular season record is. Thats all about getting in. Then its ultimately all about winning the Superbowl.

Lance, I think your missing my point, which was mainly pointed towards Dons "beat Green Bay". A W will be a W for detroit trying to get into the playoffs. Not getting a W for GB will not matter per above. 16-0 is all about style and nothing about substance. So, like you say, no style points in the NFL. But Detroit fans should not put too much pride in beating GB on New Years Day if they do win. They didn't beat GB when it mattered. If they beat them in the playoffs, they thats when it would matter. I could beat Kobe in 1 on 1 if Kobe didn't care if he won and didn't want to get hurt. Im not exactly comparing me and Kobe to Det and GB, but I hope you get my point.

Suh will be back, but his history shows that he uncontrollably does stupid things despite talking a good talk off the field. He just doesn't seem to be able to control himself on the field. May be a nice guy off the field and a great player on the field, but he has some maturing to do.

Dont get offended, Lions are a good team on the way up. I actually picked them to beat GB in both games this year. GB and Detroit will be battling it out for years to come.

WOW, what a game. Backup QB, 480 yards, 6TD...

Having said that, Detroit welcome to the play offs. Good luck in NO. I'll be cheering for you.
